Cyprus Credit Union has an immediate opening for an Indirect Lending Loan Processor, this position is located at our Jordan Landing office, 3876 W. Center View Way, West Jordan, Ut 84084. The hours of the position are 8:00 am to 7:00 pm Monday through Friday, and some Saturdays 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on a rotating schedule.


POSITION PURPOSE

 Responsible for loading, reviewing, and funding all documents necessary for closing consumer loans including promotions for all consumer loans.  Prints and mails miscellaneous paperwork including welcome and denial letters.  Maintains files and answers and directs telephone calls.  Images loan documents from funded loans. Provides professional service to members and dealers.

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

 

  1. Assumes responsibility for providing effective secretarial and clerical support for all phases of loan processing activities and promotions.
  •  Loads loans in FSP from dealerships. Opens accounts, Runs reports, pulls credit,  reviews loan packets, and works up applications.
  •  Images loan documents and new account documentation.
  •  Assists indirect loan officers in daily duties as necessary.
  •  Coordinates loan closings. Closes loans as necessary.
  •  Mails denial letters and related correspondence such as welcome letters and CRA letters.
  •  Disburses documents to Loan Officers for follow-up.
  •  Print reports and balance GL accounts daily. Includes balancing dealer funds and loan proceeds.
  •  Receives and screens telephone calls. Answers routine questions or directs them to appropriate personnel.  Records and relays messages.
  •  Completes loan processing duties in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

 

  1. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective and professional business relationships with members and external contacts.
  •  Resolves (or refers) requests and problems promptly and courteously. Answers member or dealer questions pertaining to promotions, loans, balances, and payoffs.  Assists walk-ins.
  •  Keeps members and dealers properly informed of Credit Union policies and procedures.
  •  Maintains and conveys the Credit Union's professional reputation.

 

  1. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective coordination and communication with area personnel and management.
  •  Completes assigned paperwork for Indirect Loan Manager and Loan Officers.  Completes records and reports promptly and accurately.
  •  Supports and assists area personnel as needed.
  •  Maintains departmental files.
  •  Attends and participates in meetings as required.
  •  Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant problems.

 

  1. Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
  •  Performs miscellaneous clerical and secretarial functions as needed.
  •  Ensures that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.
  •  Replaces area personnel as needed.

  

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS

  •  Records, reports, and related documents are accurate, current, and submitted on time.
  •  Files are accurate and up-to-date and imaged in a timely manner.
  •  Good business relations exist with members and dealers. Problems and questions are courteously and promptly resolved or referred.

 

  • Good working relationships and coordination exist with area personnel and with management. Assistance and support are provided as needed.  Management is properly informed.

 

  •  Loan processing functions are completed in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  •  The Credit Union's professional reputation is maintained and conveyed.

 

 QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education/Certification:     High school graduate or equivalent.

                                               

Required Knowledge:           Understanding of consumer loans, products, and services.

                                                              Knowledge of loan processing functions and related requirements and procedures.

 

Experience Required:              One to two years of varied office experience preferred.

 

Skills/Abilities:                            Strong typing abilities.

                                                                Good verbal public relations skills.

                                                                Able to operate calculator, word processor, and related computer applications.

                                                                Well organized.

                                                                Has a good understanding of excel and spreadsheets
